Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Benefits Coordinator to support our team in delivering exceptional service to our clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to keep processes running smoothly, is highly organized, and has an interest in employee benefits or insurance operations. As our team continues to grow, opportunities for a path to account management are likely to arise, and we’d love for you to grow with us. 

You will have a key role in that growth through renewal processing, client support, and data accuracy, helping to ensure our clients receive timely, accurate, and high quality service.

Compensation: Pay Type - Hourly

  • The compensation range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

You will have a key role in renewal processing, client support, and data accuracy, helping to ensure our clients receive timely, accurate, and high quality service.

 
 

Key Responsibilities:

Renewal & Account Support

  • Process renewal-related tasks within the agency management system (AMS), including documentation and data updates
  • Retrieve and organize Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBCs) and related materials
  • Pull renewal information from carrier websites and internal systems
  • Assist in preparing renewal documentation and materials for client review
     

Documentation & Coordination

  • Creating employee benefit guides
  • Coordinate collection of renewal paperwork via tools like DocuSign
  • Submit and track documents with insurance carriers to ensure timely processing
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date client files and records
     

Client & Account Manager Support

  • Draft renewal emails and client communications for Account Manager review
  • Support Account Managers with day-to-day servicing needs
  • Assist with preparing alternative plan option using quoting tools

Service & Research Tasks

  • Handle basic service requests such as:
    - Obtaining employee ID numbers
    - Researching coverage details
    - Verifying provider networks and eligibility with carriers
    - Communicate with carriers to resolve routine inquiries

Data Integrity & Operations

  • Perform audits of client data and benefits information
  • Assist with system cleanup and process improvements to maintain accuracy and efficiency


 

Qualifications:

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • 1–3 years of administrative, operations, or customer support experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience in employee benefits, insurance, HR, or a related field
  • Familiarity with agency management systems (AMS)
  • Experience with quoting tools (e.g., WiredQuote, Benefitter)
  • Experience working with carriers or benefits platforms
